Yea, not a novel as you asked, but the best sources of lore for 2e Pathfinder is the Lost Omens. They tend to be at least 50% lore focused (often much more so), so we PF2e GMs love these books. So, I'm on the lookout for backgrounds that have lore skills that are either frequently or universally useful. A good rule of thumb is that anything that's a creature family —Demon, Vampire, Golem—would be specific, but anything that's a trait encompassing multiple families would be unspecific (say, Fiend lore would be unspecific for Demons, Devils, Daemons, and some others).
